I’m actually in a confusing place right now. I’m a lesbian and I’ve been with my partner for nearly 5 years, and we just got a mortgage(I’m gonna call her a he) He has dressed like a boy for 4 and a half years and last night finally said, “i think I’m in the wrong body”. (obviously alot more was said) I’m not about to throw away 5years so it looks like I’m gonna have to identify as a straight woman( I don’t want him to be asked a ton of questions if I carry on saying I’m lesbian.)

Speaking as a 42 y/o single woman who's dating again, there's nothing wrong with admitting your age. It's a huge turn on to most men.
Stay away from bars and be choosey on who you date. Nothing's worse than a BAD date after a long week.
Dress to please yourself. Nice deep V-necked tops with skirts are awesome. We finally have breasts that we can be proud of…and that men appreciate.
Be honest with him about the food you like and the places that you enjoy…but also be open to a new idea if he suggests it.
Order soup and an appetizer, then go for a salad or something light for your entree…gives you more time to have a good conversation with him and less to worry about finishing.
Leave all thoughts of previous men at home. No man wants to spend the night listening to how wretched somebody else was…and it just gives the impression that you've got too much baggage and can't move forward.
Make sure your kids know that your phone is only to be used for dire emergencies. I hate having a date sit there and watch me tell the kids to stop fighting and go to bed.

i think being that you transitioned and being part of the lgbt community there is noting wrong with dating anyone who is aware of the situation and wants to date you.. . lesbian bi straight they are all just labels when it comes down to it most people have both tendencies anyways. idk thats just what i think. my boyfriend and i love gay bars lol

It really is very easy, to meet and date women.
Rule # 1 Talk to them, Rule # 2 Listen to them. Rule # 3 Treat them with respect. Flirt.
O k enough of the rules, everyday you come in contact with women. If not change your patterns of movement. Go where the women are. Volunteer somewhere, join a club, ask married lady friends to introduce you. Look for women, they are everywhere. In all the stores, gas stations, everywhere you go. Flirt.
If you are nervous around women, spend more time around them. You will discover they are just as nervous as you are. The more time you spend around them the more comfortable you will become. Flirt.

well with no other information i would say just be her bf and don't try to be their daddy basically if she ran the household as a single mom before and you tell them what to do they are automatically gonna feel that way, just chill with them any way you would normally and be there for her if she needs you but don't push toward a "father" role that would be with any age but more importantly with older kids
